Keep the stopped session available while investigating an export problem. Selecting New recording clears local evidence you may still need.

Retry Download in the viewer, or Download report in the account-free side panel, after checking Chrome’s download status and available storage. A partial failure leaves the session intact. Inspect the resulting folder to confirm the files completed; a started download may still be interrupted.

Compare the folder with Download session artifacts. Screenshot files require added attachments. Recorder writes a folder; the website’s real sample was packaged as a ZIP for sharing.

notes.md requires saved annotations or pins. console.log is omitted when no console text is generated. session.md is the written summary, not session.txt. Check the actual folder even when the summary links to a file: the real sample links to an absent console log. Retry a reported download failure before resetting.

WebSocket frames and all viewer diagnostics are not part of the standard bundle.

Review the export before running it. Supply safe credentials and test values in your test project; do not weaken recording privacy rules to recover a secret. Missing bodies cannot be reconstructed by the exporter.

Check the starting URL, authentication, data, installed framework, and target environment. A generated navigation does not recreate an authenticated session.

Review locators for ambiguous or dynamic targets. Add condition-based waits, setup and cleanup, and assertions. Unsupported actions may need manual implementation. Refer to reliable automated tests.

A failure to load generated artifacts can affect Tests while the rest of the local report remains readable. Preserve other evidence and retry the local workflow if necessary. Stored-session review does not offer local test generation; open a local recorded session for that workflow.
