Open a stored session

Review project evidence from Control Plane.

Open a stored session from Control Plane to inspect the report in Recorder’s viewer. You need Recorder installed, a signed-in account, and access to the relevant project.

  1. Open the project in Control Plane.
  2. Find the session in its sessions view.
  3. Use the session’s open action to launch Recorder.

Recorder opens or focuses the matching viewer and retrieves the stored report using a short-lived authorization handoff.

Use the available action, network, console, and environment views as you would for local review. Keep the tester’s expected and actual result alongside the evidence.

Stored-session review cannot save annotation changes. Add note, Edit comment, and Save comment can still appear, but saving a note fails. Keep new observations separately. This view does not provide local screenshot attachments, generated-test downloads, or the local bundle download workflow. The stored viewer is not a way to resume recording.

The local Description editor and its action, note, and generated-step insertion menu are unavailable here. Keep a separate account of any new interpretation and refer to the stored evidence.

If the viewer says the link has expired, return to Control Plane and open the session again. Reloading the old tab cannot reuse its one-time handoff.

Projects configured with a private Data Plane cannot open stored sessions through this viewer. For other retrieval failures, confirm your sign-in, project access, and the configured report destination. Ask the project administrator to investigate persistent retrieval failures.

Use the project’s approved sharing process and check that recipients have access. Do not copy an extension-local viewer URL into a TMS and assume it gives another person access. TMS evidence covers manual files and accessible links.

Resetting your local recording does not delete a stored project report. Its retention is controlled by the destination.
