## Fairlead Recorder is free, with no plan

The Recorder is the Chrome extension that records a browser check and the evidence behind it. It costs nothing on your own or with your team, and needs none of the plans above.

- On your own: Record, review and download in your browser. No account. [The Recorder on your own](https://fairleadhq.com/)
- With your team: Sign in to your team's Fairlead project. One setup decides what every tester records and redacts, and reports go to Jira, GitHub or Azure DevOps. [The Recorder for teams](https://fairleadhq.com/platform/recorder/)

## What you are charged for

- A passing unit test (per test): A complete, merge-ready unit test written into your codebase. Charged only when it ships.
- A verified bug fix (per fix): Root-caused, fixed and verified, delivered as a pull request. Charged only on delivery.
- A run that delivers nothing (no charge): Outcomes, not attempts. You are never billed for usage, compute or time spent.

## In every plan

- Fairlead Fix and Fairlead Test, at full quality
- Every supported language and framework
- Delivery as a pull request into your repository
- All version control and issue tracker integrations
- A model-agnostic engine
- Your code never trains any model

## Questions

### When can I start the free trial?

Join the waitlist and we will write when there is a place for you. The trial then ends after five runs or two weeks, whichever comes first. The two week limit exists to trigger data wiping under our retention policy, because we do not want to hold your code longer than we need to. Nothing is automatic and the trial never charges a card. When you are ready you pick a plan; if you do not, access pauses and your data is cleared.

### What exactly am I paying for?

Results, and nothing else. A passing unit test costs a flat rate per test, a verified bug fix a flat rate per fix. We never bill for usage, compute, seats or time. If a run delivers nothing, you pay nothing.

### Can I change plan later?

Yes. Move from pay as you go to a commitment when predictable volume makes the lower rate worth it, and to Enterprise when you need a private edge deployment and advanced governance. Committed can already run in your own VPC. No migration, and the same engine throughout.

### Do you charge per seat, or for usage?

Neither. You pay for delivered work, tests written and bugs fixed, never for the number of developers or the compute we use. Invite the whole team.

### Is my code safe?

Your code never trains any model, the engine is model-agnostic, Committed can run in your own VPC, and Enterprise in your VPC or behind a private edge. Source is read only and is not stored beyond the processing window. Get started sets out the full connectivity model. [How we connect](https://fairleadhq.com/get-started/#connectivity)
