Context and telemetry flow into an agentic engine that finds the root cause and writes both the fix and the reproduction tests, shipped as a PR/MR. Developers shift from firefighting to building.

Status: Available

- ~68%: Less developer time on bugs
- 159%: 1-year ROI vs manual
- ~$32K: Saved on bug fixing each month (11-dev team)
- $562: Saved per bug

## How it works

1. Describe: Start with a bug report and reproduction evidence, such as a Recorder session or a triaged test failure.
2. Locate: Connect the failure to source code and available logs. Correlation requires configured request headers and backend logging; account-free Recorder sessions do not send these headers.
3. Explain: Investigate the cause and affected code. When location or cause stays unresolved, the findings and raw evidence go to your team as a report or over MCP.
4. Reproduce: Check the baseline build and available unit tests, then create a test that fails on the reported bug. Baseline failures stop the run; services without tests skip the baseline test check.
5. Fix: Change the code and run reproduction and regression checks. Failed checks return to the test or fix; unresolved failures hand over what the run found.
6. Deliver: Deliver a pull or merge request per affected service. Reproduction tests and fixes are separate commits. Your team decides whether to merge.

## What it does

- Context & telemetry ingestion: Tickets, source, logs, traces, and a user-reproduced session are captured at both client and server levels.
- Agentic root-cause analysis: The core agent platform explores the failure and pinpoints the single root cause, not just a stack trace.
- Fix + reproduction tests: Generates the code fix and the reproduction tests together, so the bug stays fixed.
- Delivered where you work: PR/MR to your VCS, plus insights to dashboards, IDE/CLI, test frameworks, and an Insights MCP.

## Outcomes

- ~6.5 hrs: Saved per bug
- 1.3×: More bugs fixed vs manual, to start with
- 0 hrs: Developer time consumed (steady state)
- ~15 min: Bug-fix cycle time
- ~$32K: Saved each month (11-dev team)
- Connect your repository, build environment and telemetry before running Fix.
- To link browser requests to backend logs, enable correlation headers and retain them in server logs.

## Autonomous bug fixing: four approaches

Same bug, radically different time and cost depending on the level of automation.

| Stage | Manual | AI-augmented | Semi-Autonomous | Fairlead Fix |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| How it works | Developer investigates and fixes | AI suggests, dev drives fix | AI diagnoses & generates fix, dev reviews | diagnoses, fixes, validates, delivers |
| Diagnose (root cause) | ~5h 15m | ~4h 30m | ~30m | 0m (fully automated) |
| Fix (reproduction, code, tests, PR) | ~1h 15m | ~1h | ~1h | 0m (fully automated) |
| Review (approve) | ~15m (by another dev) | ~15m (by another dev) | ~15m (by another dev) | 15m (manual review) |
| Performance limit | Dev capacity | Dev capacity | Dev capacity | Machine speed |
| Total | ~6h 45m (all dev time) | ~5h 45m (dev + tool) | ~1h 45m (review + human fallback) | 15m (on review) |
