How the Fairlead platform uses cookies and similar technologies.

Allyx, Inc. ("**Allyx**," "**we**," "**us**," or "**our**") operates the website at fairleadhq.com (the "**Website**"). This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on the Website, why we use them, and the choices available to you.

## 1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a website recognize your browser on later visits and support functionality, security, and analytics.

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage (not sent to our servers, and not a cookie) for two purposes:

- **Appearance preference:** remembers your choice of light or dark mode.
- **Cookie preference:** remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies in the banner described in Section 3, so we don't ask you again on every visit.

These preferences are not sent to Google Analytics or shared as identifiers. Cookie choices are stored under `fl_cookie_consent` until you change them or clear site data. If browser storage is unavailable, a choice applies to the current page and may be requested again on navigation.

## 2. Cookies We Use

### 2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

The Website itself has no login, user accounts, or authenticated area, so we do not set any strictly necessary cookies through our own code (for example, session or CSRF cookies). If that changes — for instance, if we launch a customer portal — we will update this policy before doing so.

Our hosting and security provider, **Cloudflare, Inc.**, may set cookies directly from its network as part of keeping the Website secure and available, independent of our own code — for example:

| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| `cf_clearance` | Cloudflare | Records that a visitor has passed a Cloudflare security check, so they aren't re-challenged on every request | Depends on Cloudflare's challenge/security configuration |
| `__cf_bm` | Cloudflare | Helps Cloudflare distinguish legitimate visitors from automated bot traffic | 30 minutes |

Cloudflare may set additional cookies depending on which of its security and performance features are active at a given time; these are outside Allyx's direct control. Cloudflare describes its own privacy practices — including that this data may be processed in the United States — at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Cloudflare classifies all of these as strictly necessary.

### 2.2 Analytics Cookies

We use **Google Analytics** (Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the Website, such as which pages are viewed and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies on the fairleadhq.com domain:

| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| `_ga` | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors | Up to 2 years |
| `_ga_*` | Google Analytics | Persists session state for the Website's Analytics property | Up to 2 years |

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner described in Section 3 — Google Analytics does not load until you do. Elsewhere, analytics loads by default unless you have declined it. Cookie Settings is available to every visitor. When we cannot determine whether consent is required, analytics waits for your choice.

Analytics can process online identifiers and device and usage information; we use its reports to understand aggregate website usage. We do not combine Google Analytics data with advertising networks. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and its cookie controls at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies for how Google handles this information.

**Local development:** Google Analytics is disabled on local development builds. Cookie Settings can still save a preference for that origin. Production analytics can also be disabled through site configuration. With JavaScript disabled, Google Analytics does not load. Cloudflare security cookies, where enabled, are independent of the analytics choice.

### 2.3 Marketing and Advertising Cookies

We do not use marketing, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies on the Website, and we do not serve targeted advertising to visitors.

## 3. Your Choices

### 3.1 Cookie Banner (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you visit the Website from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a cookie banner appears on your first visit, before any analytics cookies are set. You can:

- **Accept** — Google Analytics loads and sets the cookies described in Section 2.2.
- **Decline** — Google Analytics does not load, and no analytics cookies are set.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage (see Section 1) so you aren't asked again on every visit. You can change your choice at any time using the **Cookie Settings** link in the Website's footer, which reopens the banner. If you had previously accepted and now decline, we disable further collection by this site’s Google Analytics tag and delete its accessible Google Analytics cookies. Your saved Decline choice prevents the tag from loading on later visits, in every region.

Visitors elsewhere can open the same banner through Cookie Settings to accept or decline analytics. Dismissing the banner without choosing does not grant consent.

### 3.2 Browser Controls and Opt-Out

Wherever you're visiting from, you can also control or block the Google Analytics cookies directly:

- **Browser controls:** Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies:
  - **Chrome:** Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  - **Firefox:** Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  - **Safari:** Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  - **Edge:** Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
- **Google Analytics opt-out:** Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout to prevent Google Analytics from using your data across all websites.

Blocking cookies will not break any functionality of the Website, since it does not rely on cookies to operate.

## 4. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because there is no accepted standard for interpreting DNT, the Website does not currently respond to it. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is presently nothing for a GPC signal to opt out of; if that changes, we will honor a valid GPC signal where required by law.

## 5. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies or technologies we use. We will revise the "Last Updated" date above when we do, and post material changes on this page.
